I really need to quit my day job. Seriously. Did another "practice" spin tonight. Talk about learning to crawl before you run. I'd be happy with crawling. I did figure out that spinning has everything to do with tension and coordination. Finally got the tension and all that straight... tomorrow... I'll work on that coordination thang.
Spinning lesson over, time to wind some yarn. Things were pretty groovy until I threw on a skein of recycled silk. I figured out real fast why it sells so cheap on eBay. It's crap... that's why! After spending thirty minutes untangling the cheap crap, I re-learned an old lesson; you get what you pay for. High dollar from now on. No more cheap crap. Mike will be so pleased. I'm sure it will be fine. I taught him how to knit a few weeks ago and he's determined to get the dastardly knit stitch down pat. He's doing great! He's scared to death of the purl stitch. I figure by the time he's ready to bind-off the scarf, he will have used enough yarn to make it to Dallas and back. But that's okay. I'm happy to feed his new addiction. I'm just trying to be a supportive wife. It's the very least I can do.
