After knitting for a couple of years, I've taken the insane step into spinning. I had to travel to Navasota, Texas to try out a spinning wheel. The staff at WC Mercantile were nice enought to allow me to try out their Ashford spinning wheels. After much research, I decided to start at the bottom and work my way up the ladder, or wheel. I brought home my very own Ashford Traditional Single Drive this past weekend. I waxed, polished, assembled and am now faced with the daunting task of teaching myself to spin. It's going to take a lot of reading, picture browsing, and You-Tubing to get me going. There is somewhat of a learning curve involved. Understatement. If all else fails, I can always sign up for lessons.Monday, February 9, 2009
Carnoustie Spins... or tries to anyway...
